Yeah, it’s been awhile…
Shambot! tribute!
Description: I had my first class of motion graphics and it was really good! We just played around with After Effects and the linked are three short bits of eye candy. I had Shambot! on the brain and I wanted to use some text.

(I really think that the word “suprise” looks better with two Ps, but spellcheck doesn’t think so.)
Tim Hau is here! Crazy! I get a text message from him saying he’s in Minneapolis. And now he’s totally crashing at my place. Right now we’re playing Guitar Hero and we’ve got it all hooked up to the sterio. Luckily the people downstairs have moved out so it’s no biggie if we play the music loud. If you haven’t played Guitar Hero, you should check it out because it is DDR for lazy people plus liquid crack-cocaine.
Stuff it pretty much the same. I’m doing a lot of working at computer support and then I come home and dink around with sketchbooks and video games. Lindsey and I have been to the Mall of America twice this week already. But the second time I got rockin’ blue sunglasses.
I’m going to be going to Madison with Ben and Bill Wednesday after work. I haven’t seen people from Madison in awhile! I feel bad, but… that’s life? We’ve all got our excuses, mine just suck, I guess. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think about anyone! Laura, I took a picture at an art fair in Uptown that I’m going to print out for you so you can put it on a wall or in a scrapbook or something. I’m pretty sure you’ll like it.
I got a Flickr account and I really like that because you can add stupid tags to the photos. Check it out if you like.
Last bit, Tim and I are going to buy some domain names tonight. Two to be specific, one for the Internet Movie DBs and one for the new Conclave-esque page. Anyone who wants in on the these two new awesome group blogs probably can… Probably.

Emma posted this on Flickr and I thought it was very funny. I wish there were a duck.

My sister, Lauren, was over at my place and she was cooking cresants and chocolate chip cookies. I came in to the kitchen to help her out. She decided that making one big cookie would be a lot more fun so she rolled all of the dough up into one big ball. But that was too big so she split it in half.
Then we did the cresants. These cresants were harder to make because they had two parts to them and they had to be cooked separetly and at different tempatures. Lauren had already preheated both ovens (somehow we had two). She was following the directions on the computer so she clicked yes. The next screen asked if we were Bi-Polar. Apparently, if we were bipolar, we couldn’t cook both parts of the cresant at the same time because we wouldn’t be able to concentrate on both.
Weird…

Israel is holding the southern border of Lebanon for security reasons.
From BBC News:
Ms Rice said the only solution was a sustainable peace - “one that can deal with the causes of extremism and lead to the establishment of sovereignty for the Lebanese government throughout its territory”
Oh well thank you soo much Rice! Next in line for your job is Miss America with her deeply rooted want for “World Peace.”

Ben: What are we going to do tonight?
Me: Well first we should get some hamburgers, and scrub them on the floors to make it nice and shiny. Then we’ll put our happy shoes on and dance on the ceiling like we do every friday night!
Ben: But it’s Saturday.
Me: Crap! There goes that plan.

The Decent is Lion Gate’s new film starring six young women who go spelunking in a cave.
It looks terrible.
But there are some pretty funny stills from the preview.

Terrible.

Every feel like when something really good happens, something bad will happen, too?
I do. Today I got a great, quick, good paying web gig. A few hours later after I was done I was surfing around the net and found a spanish site with new pictures of the Nintendo Wii. As a Wii fanboy I watched all the demo videos and looked at all of the pictures of this new gaming system. My boss walked in an he is also a Nintendo fanboy and I wanted so show him where I found the site. BUT little did I know that the site had opened up a porn website in the background so when I switched windows I was now looking at porn with my boss.
Fuck.
He’s not really close to my age so it couldn’t be one of those moments of “oh man that sucks/is funny.” No, it was more a moment of awkward judgement.
Now lets get this straight, I am a sane man. In otherwords, would never look at porn on a school laptop, or at work. I would have to be fucking OUT OF MY MIND! It’s not like I’m the only person in the room, Lindsey sits right next to me and another female co-worker sits right behind me. I’m in a pretty high traffic area, too.
I feel so fucking dumb. Damn pop-up blocker.
