The following is a synopsis of what happened after I left Jamie and Kris’s apartment:

I was incredibly tired as I left Jamie and Kris’s apartment. (It should be noted that their building has exactly the same layout as my building.) I walked slowly down the stairs managing only to stumble once. I approached the door to leave the building and walked right past it into the basement. I walked to the door of apartment 3 and inserted the key to my building. I fidgeted with it for a minute or two then realized, “Hah! Wow, I feel dumb. I’m using the wrong key.” I inserted my apartment key but the door would still not open! I was so frustrated and could not for the life of me figure out why the doors wasn’t opening! I tried taking the key in and out, I tried turning it the other direction, I tried turning the handle as I turned the key, but nothing would work. Still frustrated I sat down next to the door in defeat. I looked like I would be sleeping in the hallway tonight. Just then the thought occurred to me that I might be in the wrong building. And sure enough, when I walked outside I was not where I thought I would be. I stumbled back to my apartment and promptly fell asleep.
