3D Sculpture

Now I know how much we all love pictures, so I will post pictures as soon as they are available. In the meantime, words will have to do.

I’m not sure exactly what to say, so I’ll just start typing. Drilling into solid rock, is very hard. It was hard the first time. It was hard the second time. It was hard all the way up to the sixth time. Half-way through drilling the fourth hole the bit exploded and locked it’s bad self in the rock. If I remember correctly, that is why the drill started rotating and punched my stomach. Eventually I got the bit out. It looks like someone had melted it and reformed it into… well, reformed it into something that didn’t look like a drill bit (will post a pic). With all of the holes drilled, I used epoxy to hold bolts into the rock. Epoxy smells gross. Then I strung it up! Simple words, not very simple to do. It takes a long time string up a rock, lots of measuring, bolt tightening and so forth. But it worked! And that’s the important part. Pictures comming soon.
